I took peer review very seriously. Peer review is something in high school that I wasn’t a fan of. I wasn’t a fan in high school because I feel that people would take it not in a serious way, unlike when in college everyone gives there best shot at it. Not only receiving feedback on how to make my paper better, it was a good way just by talking and reading someone’s else paper to spark new ideas to include in my writing. Often times when I read my paper over and over again, the more I read it I skip over things to change and think my paper sounds really good. When I would do a peer review on someone’s paper I would keep the prompt in the back of my head. I would read through and make sure there were transitions, properly explaining and introducing quotes, answering the prompt questions, flow to the paper, and overall make any suggestions that I think could better the paper. The more that we did peer reviews in class, the more comfortable I felt giving my opinions. My favorite way that we did peer review this semester was for paper two. I feel that I was able to give deeper feedback on the paper. The way the peer review was set up, it was broken up by looking at paragraphs and ideas. Doing this peer review I would read one paragraph at a time, and then reflect on what could be better and be changed. Doing peer review this way I felt that I had more focus and was able to give my best feedback, rather then just going through and making comments on a google doc. When peer reviewing I also made sure to look for thing that Professor Spain would mention before we started to either include or not to include.

These are example of my peer review from paper two, when I was reading Nina’s paper. I really focused in on the feedback and made sure that I gave a good review on each section/idea of what I thought could be improved on. I also gave comments on what I though was really good in the paper as well.
