Learning Outcome 5+6

A constant struggle in my papers were comma splices. In my first paper it was a very big issue, and in paper two I worked on correcting them. In paper 3 I worked really hard to prevent using comma slices. I even went through and specifically did a proof reading tryin to catch the comma slices. When it comes to writing I have always struggled with proper grammar. One thing that I found really easy was doing MLA citations, “The Little Seagull” book really helped with making the citations along with the examples that we were shown in class. In high school I feel that one part of English class that we focused on was citing quotes in paper, to prepare us for college. I didn’t really struggle with this piece of writing. I enjoyed learning how to cite quote more specifically. For example if you state the last name of the source, then you only need the page number. Another key piece that help me improve my papers in this class was the feedback that we received from professor Spain before our final papers, and after our final papers were graded.
